Church-rooted
We equip churches to become inclusive, accountable and lasting centres of child protection, family strengthening and compassionate action.
About Viva Network Zimbabwe
VNZ is a Christian, child-centred network connecting churches, families, communities, government and civil society so children can grow in safe, loving and enabling environments.

Our purpose
Our mission is to safeguard and empower vulnerable children through family, community and faith-based action. We mobilise existing strengths, build local capability and connect people who can achieve more together than any one organisation can alone.
What makes VNZ distinctive
We are more than a delivery organisation. VNZ strengthens the relationships, capabilities and systems that surround children.
We equip churches to become inclusive, accountable and lasting centres of child protection, family strengthening and compassionate action.
Children’s safety, rights, dignity, participation and evolving capacities guide decisions. No programme objective overrides safeguarding.
We recognise the mandates and expertise of families, public institutions, civil society, specialists and local communities.
We build on local knowledge, assets and leadership so priority action can continue beyond an individual project or funding cycle.

Our Christian identity
VNZ describes this practical expression of faith as diakonia. It brings compassionate action together with protection, dignity, participation and systems change.
Our assistance is never conditioned on worship, religious instruction or conversion. We work openly with people and institutions across communities, respecting every person’s rights and beliefs.
