Christmas Parties
Viva-supported Christmas parties bring churches and organisations together around safe, welcoming events for children while creating pathways into longer-term relationships and support.

Member churches and organisations can contribute complementary strengths, coordinate volunteers and reach children more effectively than isolated events would.
Dignity and safety come first
Planning should protect children’s dignity, manage consent and images carefully, prepare volunteers, avoid unnecessary data collection and ensure concerns can be reported safely.
Putting it into practice
A safe, locally owned pathway.
Participation should be planned with VNZ and relevant network members, using current guidance and appropriate safeguarding arrangements.
- Plan jointly with trusted churches and organisations.
- Set safeguarding, consent and volunteer expectations early.
- Make the celebration inclusive, dignified and child-friendly.
- Connect children and families to appropriate ongoing support.
