Our story
VNZ began in 1999 with a conviction that churches and organisations could achieve more for children by working together. That conviction still drives us.

Where we began
Founded in 1999 as an affiliate of the global Viva movement, VNZ emerged to mobilise and strengthen initiatives already serving children in Harare.
- A shared platform for churches, faith-based organisations and community initiatives
- A commitment to improve both the quality and reach of care
- A practical belief that collaboration reduces isolation and duplication

Growing as a Zimbabwean network
VNZ is registered in Zimbabwe as Private Voluntary Organisation PVO 11/19. Its membership has grown to include grassroots organisations, churches, larger civil-society organisations and associated partners.

Entering our third decade
The 2026–2030 strategy builds on more than 25 years of network experience. It responds to established and emerging risks—from family stress and barriers to services to unsafe digital spaces.
