The Good Treatment Campaign equips children and adults to promote practical ways caregivers can listen to, accept, encourage and care well for children.

01

Six actions people can practise

The campaign centres on loving children, listening to them, accepting them, supporting learning, teaching responsibility and caring for the environment together.

02

Designed for child participation

Children are encouraged to engage other children and adults in their communities. Their contribution should be voluntary, safe, inclusive and supported rather than staged by adults.

03

Flexible for churches and communities

Viva provides participant guidance, campaign packs, pledge cards, graphics and animations. Partner networks commonly campaign in September and October, while the resources can support activity at other times.

Putting it into practice

A safe, locally owned pathway.

Participation should be planned with VNZ and relevant network members, using current guidance and appropriate safeguarding arrangements.

  1. Choose a safe, locally relevant campaign format.
  2. Prepare children and adult facilitators for meaningful participation.
  3. Share one practical good-treatment action at a time.
  4. Invite caregivers to make and practise a clear commitment.
