Apostolic churches embrace child protection

Church leaders from across Zimbabwe trained to make congregations safer and more inclusive for children.

A church representative speaking during a child-protection gathering

Leaders from the Gospel Apostolic Church gathered for child-protection training facilitated by VNZ through the Child Friendly Churches programme. Participants came from communities across Zimbabwe and explored safeguarding policy, recognising and responding to abuse, codes of conduct and meaningful child participation.\n\nChurch leaders committed to strengthening child-protection committees and making protection part of their identity. The work demonstrates how faith communities can challenge harmful practices while becoming trusted spaces where children are valued, heard and protected.
