From two rabbits to a thriving business

Shylet Mukwena of Hatcliffe invested a USD 50 seed grant in two rabbits and cages. As the rabbit population grew, sales helped her meet family needs, including her son’s school uniforms.\n\nShe later learned bead-making and began producing bags and jewellery, creating a second income stream alongside rabbit farming. The combined ventures improved her family’s financial stability and illustrate how a small investment and new skills can support diverse, sustainable livelihoods.
