Tapiwa combined a small grant with community savings to diversify income and improve her family’s home.

Tapiwa Mbofana of Epworth invested a USD 50 grant in a new vending stall, expanding and diversifying her household’s income. Through her ISAL group, she also accessed funds for building materials and added two rooms to the family home.\n\nOne room gave her children more space; the other became a source of rental income.
